Bisley Full Bore Shooting

A team of Hamilton cadets are currently full bore shooting at the world famous Bisley Ranges.  The team (listed below) will train for a week before the competition at the National Rifle Association Headquarters.  The team is made up of the following cadets:

2 Star Board

3 Cadets from the Platoon attended the 2 Star Board held at Dechmont CTC from 18th - 20th June.  Cadets Whyteman, Keenan and Stuart all passed the weekend and now all hold a 2 star badge.

New Website Launch

The new website for the Platoon was launched on Tuesday 8th June.  Hopefully it is an improvement on the previous Platoon website.

Inter Detachment Competition

The Platoon performed well in the competition this year, finishing in second place.  The Platoon won the drill section of the competition and came second in the Compass Challenge and the Air Rifle Shooting parts of the competition.  Our performance was also rewarded with the presentation of the L/Cpl Robert McKellar Trophy, which is presented to the best Platoon in 'A' Company.

SCIC Cadets

Cpl M Duffy and Cpl L Inglis both passed their Senior Cadet Instructors Cadre held at Garelochead Camp.  Well Done.

Parents Evening and Prize Giving

The Platoon's Annual Parents Evening and Prize Giving took place on Monday 23rd August.  The evening was well attended with over 50 guests.  The guest of honour was Mr Jim Brown of the Hamilton Branch of the British Legion.  The following awards were presented:
